Thanks to the VerpackG law, Germany was already one of the strictest European markets in terms of packaging legislation even before the arrival of PPWR. From August 12, 2026, the rules will change further: the LUCID register and ZSVR will maintain their key roles, EPR obligations will be tightened, and sales monitoring via online marketplaces will increase. A significant change for foreign companies is the obligation to use an authorized representative in Germany if they do not have their own branch there. The German approach thus demonstrates what PPWR implementation can look like in one of Europe's most regulated and important packaging markets. How does it all work? Experts from PACKSYNERGY will tell you.

How much do political decisions affect the daily operations of manufacturing, logistics, and the packaging industry? Marian Jurečka, former Minister of Agriculture and Minister of Labour and Social Affairs, will offer the perspective of someone who knows both the business environment and public administration. He will focus on where the needs of companies meet European and Czech regulations today, how political decisions impact real operations, and why business and politics should communicate more with each other.
